How do I set up my profile in the Social ARTery?

Once you’ve registered you will be able to sign in and set up your profile on the Social ARTery.

You can access your profile at any time by clicking your name which appears in the top menu on the right hand side. From here you can view your activity, profile, friends, groups, forums etc. To edit your profile click the ‘Profile’ tab followed by ‘Edit’.

In this section you are able to change elements of your profile such as:

  • Your base (County)
  • Name
  • A short statement about why you have joined the Social ARTery
  • Topics areas you are interested in 
  • Artforms you are interested in 

If you select ‘other questions’ you can edit / add additional information such as your:

  • Statement “Tell us about yourself” 
  • Expertise 
  • Social media accounts 
  • Contact details 

You can edit how public this information you input is. The options are: 

  • Everyone 
  • Only Me 
  • All Members 
  • My Friends

 Once you’ve made any changes click ‘Save Changes’ to make them live.

How do I add a profile picture?

To upload a profile picture hover over your default profile image until a pencil icon appears and click to edit (you can also go to your profile and click ‘Change Profile Photo’).

You can upload your own photo or choose a default ‘avatar’. You can also use your webcam to take a photo of yourself.

Once you’ve selected your Profile Picture click ‘Save’.

How do I add a cover image?

To add a cover image to your profile click ‘Edit cover image’ which appears in the top right of your profile page. You can either browse to an image on your computer or drag and drop one. For better results, make sure to upload an image that is larger than 1850px wide, and 550px tall.

How do I control who sees things on my profile?

To review and change privacy settings for your profile click the cog icon on the right hand side of your profile and then click ‘Profile Visibility’.
